Hoa Nguyen is a Research Scientist in the Quantum Systems Team at CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. His expertise lies at the intersection of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, with research interests in quantum software engineering, quantum machine learning applications, and AI-driven optimisation for resource orchestration in distributed quantum computing systems.
Hoa is leading quantum software systems development for Australia's National Quantum Computing Testbed (NQCT) in collaboration with the University of Queensland and quantum industry partners. He completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne, focusing on serverless and reinforcement learning-based resource management for quantum cloud computing, and holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University (UIT-HCM).
He has over eight years of teaching experience in Vietnam and Australia, and he works with national and international partners to advance scalable quantum computing architectures and software systems that support Australia's growing quantum ecosystem.
As of February 2025, I established my professional community, IO Scholar Community to connect Vietnamese scholars, researchers, engineers, and tech experts from diverse backgrounds to share insights and collaborate on topics like research, deeptech, scholarships, and long-term career development.
